Biography
Naima CHALOUR, PhD born in Algeria, I moved to France to study biology. I graduated from Paris Descartes University with a doctor degree in Neuroscience and cell biology, and then went for 2 years postdoc in the Institute of Neuroscience Chinese Academy of Science in Shanghai. I am passionate about Neurosciences and Cell biology. Indeed, understanding how the cell mechanisms work in physiological condition and how they are affected in pathology is essential prior to develop new strategies in disease therapies. I think the glial cells, which play a key role in the central nervous system functions in normal conditions as well as in pathophysiology mechanisms of neurodegenerative diseases, will have great implications as therapy targets in the future
